apparently, according to my C/UNIX professor, CMU has metasyntactic mascot variables like “foo”, “bar”, “baz” and “gorp”.
Ok, so I’m pretty sure I’m not wrong, correct me if I am, but the only CMU specific metasyntactic variable is “gorp” (according to this). Damn assumptions! You can’t make assumptions like that Hoffman!
*is mad now, is also not paying attention*
“foo”, “bar”, and “baz” come from everywhere. most likely MIT, cuz that’s how they think (they’re very unoriginal). I’m pretty sure “baz” comes from Zork somewhere. “foo” and “bar” come from a vocalization of the acronym FUBAR, which in my opinion, describes a lot of code <_<

Anyways, I’m in my room at Sig Tau, it’s alright, it’s also a cave, which I don’t mind all too much, after all, you only need the screen’s glow. I’m not gonna comment on my roommate, just know, I’m not entirely happy with the situation. Other things, about room…hmm….bugs! right….sometimes bugs creep into the room because someone *glare* decides it’s a good idea to open the window when it faces the hill (which has a bunch of plants and such) and also turns on a light right next to the window. *doubleglare* I hate when mosquitoes have to be removed from my screen. Only 5 more weeks to go, hope I don’t go insane.
More things after the moar tag. Silly LJ users and their cuts. Odd that LJ uses the word cut, you know, given it’s stereotypical demographic
Think about, all this time you’ve been saying peace out right? Well do you really mean it? And if you do is it possible? Look at the world, look back on the world and think. Peace….quite the hard goal to set. But what about peas?
Now…peas you say? I’m intrigued, go on.
Well what’s doable? Have people of all countries, races and religions find some sort of peace or prevent children and other people around the world from starving to death? OK, so they both seem kind of difficult but history has shown that it is easier to feed a person than to get them to agree with you.
And no, we do not stand against peace, we’re still for it. We just want to change the world now.
